On June 4th from 3:00–4:30 PM, the PA Farm to School Network is hosting a Virtual Open House focused on farm to school in the summer.
Farm to school grows through relationships between farmers and food service directors, teachers and community organizations, schools and families. When those connections are strong, students gain meaningful experiences with local food and agriculture, and communities build more resilient food systems.
During this Open House, you will hear from a variety of farm to school practitioners to learn about what farm to school can look like during the summer. From summer farm camps, to urban garden internships, to the educator’s agriculture institute, to summer feeding programs, there will be plenty of great resources for everyone.
This event is open to anyone passionate about local food and student engagement. Whether you’re just getting started or have been doing this work for years, you’ll leave with new ideas and new connections.
Register here to join us on June 4th to learn, connect, and celebrate farm to school across Pennsylvania.
